In 1927 Kansas City Pete Kelly and his jazz band play speakeasy every night. The local gangster approaches them, and when he kills their drummer, Kelly gives up, although this also means that the singer takes the bandit from the alcoholic. Kelly quickly realizes that he made a big mistake selling himself this way, and that rich girl Ivy is now the only decent person in his life.

In my opinion Pete Kelly's Blues is one of the most impressive films. The term 'Best' is as you know a relative term. What you or I consider as the best may not even be in someone else's list. So the general rule is to proclaim the one which majority of the folks like as the best. Nevertheless, according to me the following can be regarded as some of the finest movie ever made. I sat for a long time after the end of Pete Kelly's Blues, reflecting on my thoughts. Pete Kelly's Blues is movie, you will watch whole, more than once. The richness of dialogue, which is the power of this image, arouses the respect of the recipient, especially when compared to today's productions, most of them are very poor. Great actors and great story. However, I think that well-chosen actors and an interesting script are not pushed to the background by music, because a good movie consists of many great parts.
