F for Fake

Watch F for Fake (1973)

Orson Welles' last film documents the deceptions and forgeries in the lives of the infamous fraudsters Elmyr de Hora and Clifford Irving who became famous for selling fake artworks by painters like Picasso and Matisse.

For me F for Fake - was the biggest surprise of the year 1973. Most movies, even the greatest ones, evaporate like mist once you've returned to the real world; they leave memories behind, but their reality fades free quickly. But not with this one :). The term 'Best movie' is as you know a relative term. What you or I consider as the best may not even be in someone else's list. So the general rule is to proclaim the one which majority of people like as the best. To me the following can be regarded as some of the greatest movie ever made. F for Fake also looks nice from the soundtrack side. The variety of dialogues, which is the power of this production, excites the viewer, especially against today's movies that are clearly weak and so boring. Orson Welles proved that the whole film can hold the viewer's attention. Now sit up and watch, I'm 100% sure, you won't be disappointed.... Show more
